Listen carefully at me ...
it has been released the last version of Ubuntu: Ubuntu Hardy Heron ^^.
We will see now what offers this new version:
- Xorg 7.3: The last Xorg, focused in the being simple to shape (and to reshape)
- Kernel 2.6.24-12.13 kernel based on 2.6.24.3: This kernel brings meaningful improvements and fix as an optimal support to the 64 systems to bit and one new modality of scheduling of the processes
- Gnome 2.22: The last version of amatissimo gnome with a bag of new functions and improvements, like a new one nautilus that it uses GVFS as back-end.Molte operations have been piu' remarkablly performancing yields
- PulseAudio: PulseAudio is now active of default in the new version.
- FireFox 3 Beta 4: It replaces FireFox 2 as browser default and increases integration with GTK2 remarkablly.
- Transmission: the client bitTorrent now it is settled in Ubuntu!
- PolicyKit: the policikit now it is integrated in the administration GUI customers. It allows to a thin control in the management of the permissions customer us and in the emergency, concurring us to execute administration applications as normal customers and to earn only privilege extra for operations privileged (instead of having launch the entire application like root!!)
- Vinagre: Famous client the Vnc now is installed of default to place of xvncviewer.
- Brasero: The application brasero will complete the Nautilus functions of burning CD/DVD and will replace the utility of burning Cd for Coils (relative to the audio Cd)
- World Clock applet: The panel of the clock puo' to visualize the hour and the time in many leases.
- Integration with the active Directory
- support iSCSI
- a new configurabile Firewall from commando line
- new functions of protection of the memory
- Wubi:Una new option for the Windows Users - Wubi concurs with the customers windows to install and to disinstallare Ubuntu as whichever application was one!!! The customers can decide of an identical Dual boot to what she obtains herself with a normal installation.
Personally I have had always splendid experiences with the Ubuntu Linux (in my system is installed Ubuntu 7,10 correctly) and ve the council lively. Obviously being windows they cannot rise of the problems of configuration... in this case you also write to me and eventually if I can resolve the problem of it I will publish the solution.
